The MUVI – Wine Museum of the Euganean Hills is located in the center of Vo’, inside the headquarters of the Consortium for the Protection of Euganean Wines, in a context deeply linked to viticulture that has shaped the landscape and identity of the territory for centuries.
The museum was established with the aim of telling the story of Euganean wine through an immersive and educational journey, offering visitors a true journey into the local wine culture. The exhibition develops in 24 thematic areas organized chronologically, through panels, documents, objects, and historical materials that illustrate the evolution of the vine from ancient Venetians to contemporary times.
The path opens with suggestions related to the volcanic origin of the territory, a fundamental element of the Euganean "terroir," and then follows the stages of wine cultivation and production over the centuries: from the Middle Ages to the Serenissima, from the modern age to the 1800s, up to recent innovations. Special attention is given to local excellences such as Moscato and Serprino, the birth of the Grape Festival, and the history of the Consortium.
The museum also delves into the scientific aspects of production with the Enological Analysis Laboratory, active since 1972, which supports winemakers in monitoring the quality of grapes and wines. An entire section is dedicated to the territory of the Euganean Hills Regional Park, focusing on environment, biodiversity, and food and wine traditions.
The visit concludes in the emotional room, dedicated to guided tastings, where sensory installations allow visitors to explore the colors, aromas, and flavors of wine through interactive tools that stimulate sight, touch, and smell.
