In the heart of the Euganean Hills, along the road that leads from Rivadolmo to Lozzo Atestino and bordering the Bisatto Canal, stands Villa Pasqualigo Pasinetti Rodella, also known as Villa Rodella: a historic residence that spans over four centuries of Venetian history.
The villa likely dates back to the late 1500s, when it was built by the noble Venetian family of Pasqualigo. It later passed to the Pasinetti family, and was then acquired around 1870 by the Rodella family, originally from Asiago, who expanded and remodeled its architectural structure, giving it the current configuration.
The complex consists of a main residence and a large barchessa, developed on two floors with basement rooms, covering a total area of nearly two thousand square meters. Within the complex, there is also a family chapel, where a plaque commemorates members of the Rodella dynasty, including the writer Silvia Rodella (1885-1966), author of “Leggende euganee” (1941), a literary testimony of the territory.
Surrounded by a park of approximately 1.3 hectares, Villa Rodella represents a rare example of rural noble architecture immersed in the Euganean landscape.
The villa today remains an evocative presence suspended between historical memory and landscape, a potential treasury of culture and tourism waiting to be rediscovered.
