Guests at the Antica Trattoria Santimaria can choose from various types of homemade pasta... gnocchi, fettuccine, or "bigoli" (the typical pasta of Veneto similar to oversized spaghetti), dressed with excellent seasonal sauces.
As for meats, the most renowned dish in the cuisine is undoubtedly grilled chicken, with or without sauce. As an alternative to chicken, one can enjoy beef rib eyes and sliced steaks.
These specialties are accompanied by seasonal side dishes and polenta made with the famous flour from Maranello (that is, from Marano Vicentino, which has nothing to do with the location of Ferrari). This flour is produced in very limited quantities, sought after by connoisseurs and lovers of good cooking, and is considered the best flour for making polenta, with its orange-colored corn kernels.
The restaurant features spacious and welcoming rooms, with the fireplace lit during the cold season, while in summer it is possible to sit in the pleasant outdoor terrace, surrounded by olive trees.
