“Lavender in Villa” is an agricultural reality located in Villa Estense, established in October 2023 with the aim of reclaiming and enhancing an uncultivated land through the cultivation of hybrid lavender. After a careful soil analysis, the Boscomare variety was chosen, an ancient Ligurian cultivar that almost disappeared in the 1980s due to a fungus and was subsequently rediscovered in the early 2000s.
The Boscomare has been selected for its intense and persistent aromatic characteristics, particularly suitable for the production of essential oil intended for aromatherapy, massages, and room fragrance. The oil is obtained through steam distillation and is completely pure, free from chemical additives, thanks to a cultivation carried out in accordance with organic principles and without the use of chemical treatments.
Within the field, there is also a beekeeping operation, which contributes to the production of multifloral honey with a delicate note of lavender, further enriching the offerings of this agricultural reality.
During the summer blooming period, between June and July, the field transforms into a captivating and colorful scene, open by reservation for guided tours, events, and photo shoots, offering visitors an immersive experience amidst nature, fragrances, and rural landscapes.
