Eight free appointments to explore the past through art, creativity, and the five senses. Returning with its seventh edition Family Museo Lab, the project curated by the Fantalica Cultural Association APS ETS, invites families and children to experience the National Atestino Museum of Este as a space for discovery, experimentation, and fun.
Designed for children aged 6 to 11 and their companions, the program offers guided tours to uncover the hidden stories among the artifacts and thematic workshops led by archaeologist Cinzia Tagliaferro along with local artists and professionals. The guiding theme of this edition is a sensory journey through time, to learn to look at objects from the past with new eyes and unveil the secrets they hold.
The calendar runs from october 2026 to may 2027 with eight appointments, each dedicated to a different creative language: from sculpture with Statue a Quattro Mani, together with actor Emilio Milani, to weaving, photography, music, to taste, illustration, and the discovery of scents from other times.
Each workshop represents an opportunity to learn by doing, stimulate the curiosity of the youngest, and share with adults an engaging cultural experience, capable of bringing new generations closer to the archaeological heritage in a playful and participatory way.
