The Abano Football Trophy is the leading U14 international youth football tournament in Europe. It was established in 1991 thanks to the initiative of the Municipality of Abano Terme and FIGC official Gianni Meggiolaro.
Each year, 16 of the best clubs from Italy, Europe, and beyond compete over 5 days, playing a total of 44 matches.
Over its 30 editions, Abano Terme has welcomed top teams such as Inter, Atalanta, Lazio, Torino, Fiorentina, Villarreal, Rapid Vienna, Manchester, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Ajax, Benfica, Juventus, Milan, Napoli, Flamengo, and Atlético Madrid — and seen young talents who would go on to become national and international football stars.
