Built on the foundations of a pre-existing structure, the Tower of Mastio was constructed by Ubertino da Carrara in the area where the original residence of the Este Marquises was located. Situated at the top of the hill, with its 21 meters in height, it dominates the city of Este and the Euganean Hills, of which it is a symbol and emblem.
