Inspired by the forms of the Venetian Church of Health, the building was erected in the 16th century, in homage to the Blessed Virgin of Carmel for the miracles performed.
The essentiality of the architectural form is combined with the sober elegance of the interiors, which impress with the large canvases of Venetian and Lombard artists of the 17th and 18th centuries, some attributed to the Este artist Antonio Zanchi.
A sanctuary of singular architectural refinement where the imposing pictorial cycle, expression of Catholic religious art, coexists with the typical elements of Orthodox iconography in a suggestive blend of art and devotion.
