On October 31 and November 1, 2026, Este hosts the XXIII National Day of Urban Trekking, an event dedicated to discovering territories through slow-paced walks, amidst history, nature, and curiosities.
This year’s theme, “San Francesco 1226-2026: in the footsteps of the essential,” will guide participants in discovering places and inspirations within the walled city.
The journey begins on Saturday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. with In the Footsteps of the Essential, a route of about 2 hours and 2.5 km, easy and suitable for everyone. A trip between history and nature, with quiet views and lesser-known corners of Este. The meeting point is at the Ticket Office of the Monumental Heritage of Este, on via Guido Negri.
On Sunday, November 1 at 3:30 p.m., there will be The Path of Wonders, a proposal also designed for the little ones: saints, symbols, and mysterious clues become the elements of a fun treasure hunt, enriched with games and a creative workshop. Departure from the Church of the Blessed Virgin of Health.
The initiatives are free of charge, with mandatory reservation. An opportunity to experience Este in an original way, rediscovering its heritage through walking and wonder.
