San Lorenzo under the stars: nature, culture, and astronomy in Baone
The magic of the night of San Lorenzo meets the charm of the Euganean Hills in an experience that combines nature, history, and sky observation. On Monday, August 10, on the occasion of the feast of the patron saint of Baone, Villa Beatrice d'Este and the Euganean Museum present "San Lorenzo under the stars," an event designed to experience the territory in a new light.
The journey will begin at 7:30 p.m. from the Church of Valle San Giorgio with an extraordinary visit to Villa Mantua Benavides, then continuing to Monte Gemola accompanied by nature guide Selena Pajaro. The itinerary will proceed with the discovery of the new exhibition at the Euganean Museum, located in Villa Beatrice d'Este.
Making the evening even more special will be a meeting with Lucia Calaon, a science communicator, who will guide participants on a journey among planets, stars, and constellations visible in the summer sky, thanks to observation with a professional telescope.
The initiative, organized by Scatola Cultura with the support of the Municipality of Baone and numerous local organizations, is open to all, including families and four-legged friends, as long as they are on a leash. Participation in the activities costs 5 euros, with the option to book a pocket lunch. In case of bad weather, the evening will still take place at Villa Beatrice d'Este with a night visit to the museum and an astronomy conference.
A unique opportunity to celebrate the night of falling stars amidst the landscapes, culture, and wonder of the summer sky.
