On the gentle slopes of Monte Buso, between the towns of Monselice and Este, lies a place filled with charm and spirituality: the Sanctuary of the Madonetta della Ave, also known as the Madonna dei Miracoli.
This small temple, immersed in the evocative landscape of the Colli Euganei, is sometimes called “Madonna della Torre” due to the presence of an ancient structure dating back to the fourteenth century, within which the church was created. A simple yet evocative architectural testimony, enriched by a characteristic sail-like bell tower.
Tradition tells that in this very spot, in 1526, the Virgin appeared to two shepherds from Este, asking them to build an oratory dedicated to her. Construction began immediately after the miraculous event and was completed quickly, adapting the pre-existing tower into a sacred space.
Since then, the sanctuary has become a destination for numerous pilgrims, drawn by news of miracles occurring in the area. Even today, this place represents an ideal stop for those wishing to combine spirituality, history, and slow tourism, discovering one of the most authentic and evocative corners of the Euganean territory.
