From November 2026 to March 2027, Este renews its invitation to get caught up in the magic of live performance with the 2026/2027 theater season, promoted by the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Este in collaboration with Arteven. A journey through emotions, beauty, and discovery, designed to offer each spectator the opportunity to experience theater as a cultural, personal, and collective experience.
Two series are scheduled: “Metti una sera a… Teatro”, at the Teatro Farinelli, and “A teatro con mamma e papà”, at the Teatro dei Filodrammatici. Alongside prose, the season explores dance, contemporary circus, and theater for families, intertwining different languages and sensitivities and creating opportunities for encounters between generations.
The Farinelli program takes the audience on a journey through stories that can evoke emotion and reflection. Alessandro Haber, with Le ultime lune, invites audiences to confront memory, affection, and the passage of time; Cesare Bocci and Vittoria Belvedere stage Indovina chi viene a cena, a comedy that questions prejudices and cultural differences. With Non chiamateli eroi, theater becomes civil testimony, while Shakespeare Tango Suite combines dance and passion. Elettra 1944 intertwines myth and history, and Bianco guides the spectator through body, poetry, and contemporary circus.
For the little ones and their families, the dedicated series becomes a precious opportunity to share the wonder of stories, stimulate imagination, and approach the world of the arts together (read more in the dedicated box).
Completing the program, meetings with the companies at the Gabinetto di Lettura before the performances will offer the chance to deepen the understanding of the shows and dialogue with the artists, going beyond the representation.
The new season thus invites citizens and visitors to rediscover the pleasure of gathering at the theater: a place to experience emotions together, open new perspectives, and participate in the cultural life of the community. Because every show is a unique experience, capable of leaving a mark and creating bonds.
