The exhibition Bread, but also Roses by Marta Fontana, curated by Patra Cason Olivares and organized by the Municipality of Este for International Women's Day, presents installations, mixed media works, and ceramics created between 2019 and 2026.
The exhibition, hosted in the Turi Fedele and Renata Carminati Hall of the Ex Chiesetta dell’Annunziata from February 28 to March 8, 2026, explores qualities traditionally associated with the feminine and often relegated to the domestic sphere, transforming everyday materials into instruments of memory and protest.
The exhibition engages with texts by Joyce Lussu and Forough Farrokhzad, involves anti-violence associations from Veneto and Sardinia, and includes a participatory project with Este Ceramiche Porcellane.
An inaugural meeting with Lea Melandri and a final event dedicated to the Veneto Women's Project Center, featuring a musical performance, are planned.
Free admission.
