“The Ladies of Art” is a series of meetings dedicated to three extraordinary female figures who have marked the history of art and collecting. Curated by Prof. Felice Gambarin and promoted by APS Mondogira, the event will be held at the Gabinetto di Lettura in Este (PD), with appointments at 6:00 p.m. and open entry for the public.
The journey will kick off on Friday, May 8, with Hilla Rebay, visionary curator of the non-objective art collection commissioned by Solomon Guggenheim. On Friday, May 15, the protagonist will be Artemisia Gentileschi, a symbol of strength and rebellion, depicted through personal events and artistic innovation. The series will conclude on Thursday, May 28, with Isabella d’Este, a refined patron of the Renaissance and creator of one of the most famous art collections in Mantua.
