In the setting of the Palazzo Scaligero, The Voice of Images. Stories of Women in Patriarchal Culture takes place, a cultural meeting curated by Prof. Elis Rossi dedicated to the female representation in the history of art and Western culture.
Through images, symbols, and narratives, the event proposes a reflection on how women have been portrayed over the centuries: muse, mother, saint, or marginal figure, often observed more than heard. Artistic works thus become instruments of memory and critical analysis, capable of highlighting stereotypes, social roles, and cultural dynamics still relevant today.
The initiative invites the audience to look beyond the aesthetic appearance of the images to grasp their historical and symbolic value, opening a dialogue on the relationship between art, identity, and gender equality.
Accompanying the meeting will be the musical interludes by the piano students of Prof. Donatella Berto from the “G. Carducci” Musical Program, who will provide moments of intense emotional participation and contribute to creating a suggestive intertwining of music, words, and images.
An appointment that brings together culture, artistic sensitivity, and civil reflection, offering the audience a precious opportunity to confront the past and present of female representation.
