The event will liven up the city center with parades in costume and enchanting atmospheres created by the presence of over 200 performers in period costumes, with masks inspired by history, folklore, or fantasy.
The event will kick off on Saturday May 9 at 5 PM in the pedestrian area in front of the Clock with a performance of historical dances from the Eighteenth Century, curated by the Association La Corte del Leon.
In the evening, at 9 PM, one of the most suggestive appointments of the weekend will be held: the candlelight costume parade, organized by the Association La Compagnia degli Anelli.
The parade will start in front of the Kursaal Gardens and will cross the streets of the pedestrian area in a silent and enchanted atmosphere, illuminated only by the light of lanterns: a moment that has become a symbol of the event, which every year attracts the public for its elegance and the timeless magic it creates.
On Sunday, May 10 the day will begin at 10 AM with the gathering of the performers in via Jappelli, in the heart of the pedestrian area. From there, the parade will head towards the Hotel Orologio, where the jury will evaluate each participant.
The performers will parade wearing garments entirely handmade, true works of art created by costume masters, some of which are specially designed for the occasion. After the evaluation, the masks will continue to parade freely through the streets of the center, in a route that will wind among passersby, shops, and outdoor cafés, giving the public glimpses of beauty and fantasy.
In the afternoon, starting at 3:30 PM, the gathering will be at the Thermal Forum for the commencement of the parade in the Urban Thermal Park.
The procession will conclude around 4:30 PM with the official awarding of the most deserving masks, evaluated for originality, quality of materials, inspiration, and scenic impact.
In case of bad weather, the scheduled events will be canceled.
