On Sunday, April 13th, at 4 PM, at the International Museum of the Mask Amleto and Donato Sartori the exhibition The Conquest of Freedom will be inaugurated, featuring masks, sculptures, sketches, stage photos, posters, videos, and testimonies dedicated to Gianfranco de Bosio and the art of the Sartoris curated by Paola Piizzi, Sarah Sartori, Maria Rita Simone, and Walter Valeri in collaboration with the MIC, the University of Padua, the Theater and Melodrama Institute of the Cini Foundation, the National Committee for the Centenary Celebrations of Gianfranco de Bosio www.gianfrancodebosio100.it chaired by Maria Ida Biggi with the patronage of the Municipality of Abano Terme and Province of Padua.

Gianfranco de Bosio, one of the most representative figures of the revival of post-war Italian theater, participated in the Resistance by joining the Gap led by Otello Pighin, a gold medal for military valor, along with a group of anti-fascist professors from Padua including Diego Valeri, Manara Valgimigli, Concetto Marchesi, Ludovico Zorzi, Amleto Sartori, Mischa Scandella, and many others, creating the Ruzante University Theater of Padua for theatrical performances that were unthinkable during the twenty years of Fascism.
The exhibition is part of the activities organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the International Museum of the Mask Amleto and Donato Sartori and MYMA (Myths and Masks of the Future) a three-year Creative Europe project.
