Presentation of the book “When Poetry Heals: Reading the Inferno with the Eyes of Medicine” by Giovanni Mandoliti.
The meeting is set up as an occasion for cultural and scientific deepening dedicated to the dialogue between literature, medicine, and humanistic reflection, relating poetic language to clinical observation and the understanding of the human condition.
In the volume, the author offers an innovative reading of Dante’s Inferno through a medical perspective, highlighting how poetry can take on an interpretive value and, at the same time, potentially “therapeutic,” capable of providing tools for understanding pain, fragility, and the human experience.
