On Friday, December 12, 2025, at 5:30 PM, at the Nassiriya Hall in Vicolo Mezzaluna in Este, the presentation of the volume “Tita Cuc. Gio Batta Scussat (1889–1927) within the social movements” by Giuseppe Zambon and Paolo De Marchi will take place.
The book retraces, through images and testimonies, the short but intense life of Tita Cuc, a central figure in the foothills of Friuli in the early 20th century. Self-taught, carpenter, cabinetmaker, inventor, and municipal administrator, Scussat was a collaborator with members of the Socialist Party and the union, and a promoter of cooperatives and social activities that have profoundly marked the history of the area.
The authors Giuseppe Zambon and Paolo De Marchi will be present at the meeting.
It will be introduced and coordinated by Carlo Salmaso (CESP Veneto).
The initiative is organized by the ANPI Section "Amleto Rama" of Este, in collaboration with the Public School Study Center - Veneto and under the patronage of the City of Este.
Free admission.
