The postponed hike due to bad weather is back on through the magnificent hills of the Colli Euganei. The itinerary starts from Calaone, a hilly hamlet of Baone, featuring a scenic route through nature, history, and tranquility.
We ascend with glimpses of Santa Veronica and the convent of Monte Salarola, before descending towards Monte Cecilia and the eastern-central sector of the Euganei. After crossing the wooded valley of Vaesàna, on the northern slope of Monte Cero, we ascend along a panoramic loop with views of Cornoleda and Valle San Giorgio. Chestnut trees, Mediterranean scrub, and an exceptional photo spot on Monte Castello with the church featuring a bell tower complete the experience, before descending towards the village.
