His message spreads from village to village, winning the hearts of thousands of people who start to follow him everywhere. A commotion that leads the Pope to entrust the case to Cardinal Maculani, the most authoritative inquisitor of his time. What begins as a trial transforms into an unexpected confrontation, destined to challenge convictions that seemed unshakeable. While Leopoldo's fate seems sealed, that of Maculani and those like him who have been struck by doubt takes unexpected directions.
