The finest films from Lago Film Fest to watch while immersed in warm water: welcome to CineTerme, where auteur cinema meets the unique wellness of the Abano and Montegrotto thermal area.
Imagine slipping into thermal water at 36°C as evening steam rises gently and and the stresses of the week fade away in a soothing embrace of warmth. CineTerme is the event that transforms the way you experience cinema, offering the unique thrill of watching great films while immersed in the natural element that makes our region renowned worldwide.
Born from the meeting between the creativity of Lago Film Fest and the innovation of Y-40® The Deep Joy, this format turns the traditional cinema screen on its head. Forget indoor cinema seats: the screen lights up poolside, and the show is enjoyed while cradled by the warmth of salsobromoiodic thermal water. The programme features a visual journey through auteur short films, themed selections, and award-winning works from international festivals, all to be discovered from an entirely new perspective.
The evening is designed as a true wellness ritual that unfolds step by step:
-
Beginning with local wonders: The experience begins in the late afternoon with an exclusive guided tour of Y-40® The Deep Joy, the world's deepest thermal pool, discovering its architecture and secrets up close.
-
Relaxation in thermal water: Then, surrender to total relaxation among hydro-massages, steam trails, and spacious thermal pools to melt away all tension.
-
Flavours and convivial moments: To complete the evening, you can enjoy a restoring herbal tea, a poolside aperitif, or the CineDinner option to pair local delicacies with the show.
-
The show under the stars: As night falls, the big screen comes alive for the short film screenings, creating an intimate, magical atmosphere to be enjoyed entirely from the water until the final swims of the night.
