The film review returns on the theme of rights, civic engagement, and participation in the garden of the Villa Bassi Rathgeb Museum.
Screening of the film "Sentimental Value," directed by Joachim Trier.
With an unmistakable stylistic flair, Trier softly and fluidly outlines the complexity of family relationships.
Nora and Agnes are two deeply connected sisters. The sudden return of their father Gustav – a charismatic and fascinating director but a chronically unreliable parent – reopens wounds that have never fully healed. Knowing Nora's talent as an actress, Gustav wants his daughter to play the leading role in the film that is supposed to relaunch his career; she refuses, and that part goes to a young Hollywood star, Rachel Kemp. Her arrival disrupts the delicate dynamics of the family: for the two sisters, it will be the moment to confront their father and their past.
Admission € 4.00, free for children up to 6 years, subject to availability; unnumbered seats.
Entrance to the garden starting at 8:30 p.m.
In case of bad weather, screenings will be canceled.
