The parish of Meggiaro was established in 1975 in the heart of one of the urban expansion areas of the City of Este.
In addition to the church, there are numerous parish works: the bell tower with ten bells, the winter chapel dedicated to Saint Leopold Mandic separate from the parish church, the sacristies, the rectory, the recreational center, the residences for the priest and helpers, and finally, six chapels located in the municipal territory, dedicated to the Madonna and Saint Anthony and the monument to Pope John Paul II.
The church, dedicated to Saint Jerome, characterized by three large mosaics inside and a mechanical pipe organ, is in a modern style.
