Sicily, today. Arturo is a nearly infallible real estate agent in his work, but much less so in his love life. He lives alone, is rather disheartened, and nurtures a single, unwavering passion: sweets. His life lights up when he meets what is undoubtedly his soulmate. Flora is perfect: beautiful, funny, kind, brilliant... and she is also a pastry chef. An immediate and overwhelming love develops between them. However, there is an invisible yet powerful presence dividing them: God. Flora is a fervent Catholic, while Arturo stopped believing as a child.
