Celebrations for the Eighth Centenary of the Death of Saint Francis: Conversations through Words and Images curated by Roberto Valandro
Eight centuries after the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, his figure continues to evoke interest, devotion, and curiosity.
Monselice also participates in the celebrations for this important anniversary with a program of initiatives that invites citizens, students, and history enthusiasts to rediscover an ancient and profound connection: that between the city and the Franciscan presence.
On this occasion, the San Biagio Municipal Library offers: "Conversations through Words and Images" curated by Roberto Valandro (author of the essay “The Franciscans and Monselice. The Days and the Works”). An engaging cycle of four meetings introducing the historical-artistic exhibition 'The Nativity Scene by Alberto Roveroni and the Monselician Iconography', visitable at the San Paolo Museum from September 26 to November 8.
At the Loggetta hall, on Via del Santuario, on Wednesdays 8, 15, 22, and 29 April, at 4:00 PM.
The meetings are open to all citizens, but they pay particular attention to the world of schools. Teachers and students will indeed be involved in a prize competition connected to the exhibition, an opportunity to transform historical memory into a living and shared experience.
Free admission.
