Este renews its bond with art and tradition by hosting “Good Morning Ceramics!” in 2026, the great national festival dedicated to artistic and handcrafted ceramics promoted by AiCC – Italian Association of Ceramic Cities.
From May 10 to May 24, the city transforms into an open-air creative laboratory with the program “Ceramics between Art and Taste,” a pathway that weaves together art, history, craftsmanship, and the culture of conviviality through exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, meetings, and live demonstrations. The shop windows of the historic center will also host a captivating widespread exhibition created in collaboration with the Este in Centro Association, involving residents and visitors in a journey between beauty and tradition.
The official start is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, at the evocative former Church of the Annunciation in Piazza Trento, the heart of the event. Among the most anticipated events is “Sweet Ceramics,” an exhibition dedicated to the dialogue between ceramics and table art, enriched by a setting inspired by “Alice in Wonderland.”
There will also be events dedicated to history and education, such as the presentation of the volume Ancient Ceramics in Venice, free workshops for children and adults, artistic workshops, exhibitions, and the spectacular Raku firing “Incandescent Visions,” capable of illuminating the evenings in Este with the charm of fire and matter.
“Good Morning Ceramics!” thus confirms itself as a unique opportunity to discover Este, a city of art and tradition, enhancing a craftsmanship culture that continues to reinvent itself and engage with the present.
