For the event "Bassifrequenze, author music at Villa Bassi", Michele Ruol and Sara Fattore present “Inventory of What Remains After the Forest Sounds”, a novel finalist for the Premio Strega 2025, which becomes a reading: in the debut of this new project, alongside the author Michele Ruol, there is also singer Sara Fattoretto with an original lineup featuring Paolo Alongi on classical guitar, Alberto Zuanon on double bass, and Francesco Ganassin on bass clarinet and electronics.
There is an abandoned house, the vegetation is reclaiming it: everything is covered in dust and moss, branches and memories. The existence of those who lived there is etched into it, and in the abandoned objects voices, laughter, and memories continue to resonate.
It is a family like many others that lived in this house: a mother, a father, and two teenage children. Then an accident, a fire erupts, and the parents find themselves alone, isolated in an abyssal pain.
The objects are silent witnesses of their lives, and they become a filter to follow the arduous path of reconstruction, until a light is found, fragile and blinding like a clearing.
Words and music intertwine, reverberate, fragmented and kaleidoscopic like scattered objects in an empty house. Together they overlook the void and silence, then return, with a new light.
