Autunno da vivere a Monselice: Sapori, Natura e Tradizioni

04 November 2026

Location: Monselice, Monselice

Monselice celebrates autumn with "Autunno da vivere", a rich calendar of events that celebrates the flavors, history, and nature of the territory and the Euganean Hills. The program opens on the weekend of October 24 and 25 with "Colors and Flavors of Autumn", a market-show dedicated to local typical products accompanied by guided tours, exhibitions, and cultural events. Specifically, on the afternoon of Saturday, October 24, in Piazza Mazzini, the dance and theater show "Serpents, Dragons, and Goblins of the Euganean Hills" will take place. Sunday, October 25, will instead feature peasant culture with "The Thread of Oil" at Podere La Pignara — with walks, meetings on the terraces of Monte Ricco, workshops, and tastings. The exclusive exhibition of musical instruments in memory of the luthier Bruno Barnes will be hosted at Villa Pisani; the exhibition will be enriched by live music moments.

At the turn of late October and early November, the celebrations get into full swing with days dedicated to discovering saffron, offering walks in the fields, nature activities, creative workshops, and tastings. On October 31, there will be a guided and free urban trekking lasting about two and a half hours to discover the Franciscan places of the city. The series reaches its peak with the Fiera dei Santi, the great traditional event that enlivens the territory with over two hundred stalls, an agricultural fair, a tractor exhibition, food stands, refreshment points, and a amusement park. For enthusiasts, there is also a mycological exhibition at the Patronage of the Cathedral, curated by the Monselicense Mycological Group to admire hundreds of mushroom species and to engage with experts in the field. Cultural events also include the Palio dei Santi, which on November 1 at Palazzo della Loggetta hosts the closing ceremony of the Giostra della Rocca with the award presentation to the winning districts, followed the next day by the meeting and guided walk organized by the Friends of the Museums dedicated to the saints and to San Sabino, the patron saint of the city.

Completing the program are the exhibition "The Nativity of Alberto Roveroni and the Monselician Iconography between Medals and Prints" set up at the San Paolo Museum and open for visits until November 8, and the solemn commemorative celebrations of the Armed Forces and National Unity Day scheduled for the morning of November 8. The entire series is also enriched by guided tours of the monuments, extraordinary openings, art meetings, and workshops.
