In the evocative space of the former Church of the Annunciation in Este, an exhibition takes shape that traverses the realms of memory and image, proposing a path that is simultaneously visual and conceptual. The artist Zago constructs an essential yet layered language, in which fragments of reality are collected, reworked, and returned in new forms, opening up multiple possibilities for interpretation.
The works on display are configured as devices of reflection: they question the relationship between identity and representation, putting personal archive and collective memory in tension. A continuous dialogue emerges between past and present, where the image is never static, but subject to transformation, rewriting, and shifts in meaning.
The visitor is invited to linger in this space of layering, where every element refers to traces, memories, and interpretations, in a delicate balance between what has been and what is continuously redefined.
The exhibition is open from April 30 to May 7, 2026, with the inauguration on Thursday, April 30 at 6.00 p.m. Visiting hours: weekdays 6.00 p.m.–10.00 p.m.; weekends 10.00 a.m.–1.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.–10.00 p.m.
