The opening ceremony will feature Sofia Goggia, the Olympic champion in downhill skiing, who will give a short speech to the young athletes on the field.
This year, the event will see the participation of 16 teams from around the world, ready to compete in 44 matches over 5 days.
320 boys from 9 different countries will meet on 6 fields to compete for access to the final on Saturday, June 7 at 8:45 PM at the Stadio delle Terme di Monteortone.
Among the participants are many top Italian Serie A teams (Como, Empoli, Fiorentina, Lazio, Napoli, Roma, Torino, Venezia), the welcome return of North America's Los Angeles Galaxy, and the first appearance of an Albanian team, KF Vllaznia from Shkodra. Fans of 70s-80s football will not miss the participation of Nottingham Forest (England), two-time winner of the European Cup, and PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands), which lifted the Champions League trophy in 1988. Completing the lineup of contenders are Legia Warszawa (Poland), Valencia (Spain), Strasbourg (France), and the Red Bull Academy from Salzburg (Austria).
