D'Annunzio Rooms
Guided tour of the rooms that hosted Gabriele D'Annunzio during his stay at the Castle of San Pelagio, on the occasion of the flight over Vienna on August 9, 1918: a propaganda mission in which thousands of leaflets were dropped thanks to the flight conceived by D'Annunzio. The rooms, restored according to archival sources, are now completely visitable. They preserve the memories of the life and flight of the poet-soldier and the furnishings of the Zaborra family, who owned the Castle since 1752.
Museum of Flight
Among the rooms of the Castle of San Pelagio, a unique museum in Europe, the most extraordinary human endeavor is retraced: flight! The exhibition path includes sections dedicated to mythology, early attempts at flight, and the evolution of the fascinating and romantic hot air balloons, airplanes, seaplanes, and helicopters.
Rose and Labyrinth Park
Visit the enchanting historic garden of the Castle of San Pelagio, a charming place rich in plant essences and fragrant with thousands of roses that, especially in May, make the walk spectacular! In the three hectares of green live the typical elements of Venetian villas: representative garden, secret garden, brolo, hornbeam grove, labyrinths, fishpond, and the original ice house.
