The San Giorgio Theatre in Baone is preparing to welcome "Scenes of Este 2026," a festival dedicated to amateur theater and local companies, with three appointments highlighting comedy, stories, and theatrical tradition.
It begins on Saturday, October 10 at 9:00 a.m. with the Veneto Theatre Company "City of Este," which will stage The Rusteghi by Carlo Goldoni, directed by Lahire Tortora: a classic of Goldoni's comedy, capable of portraying with irony and liveliness the vices, contrasts, and dynamics of Venetian society.
The second appointment is on Saturday, October 17, again at 9:00 a.m., with the Cultural Association Villa Dolfin Boldù of Este, featuring My Name is Beatrice, a text by Viviana Larcati, who also directs.
The festival concludes on Saturday, October 24 with the Old Veneto Theatre Group of Bresega di Ponso presenting The Four Corners by Silvio Olin, who is also the director of the show.
Three companies, three works, and three occasions to enjoy theater together, valuing the passion and commitment of local cultural entities.
The festival is made possible with the contribution of the Veneto Region, the Province of Padua, and the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio di Padua and Rovigo, with the sponsorship of the municipalities of Este, Baone, and Monselice.
