In the East, prepare to live an exciting summer full of emotions, beauty, and participation!
From June to October, the city will transform into a large open-air stage thanks to the “Este d’Estate 2025” festival, promoted by the Municipality.
A widespread cultural project, designed to involve citizens, families, and visitors in a varied and high-quality proposal that spans all forms of art and all areas of the territory.
The program consists of numerous events capable of engaging diverse audiences, enhancing the artistic and architectural heritage of the city. The major musical event of the summer will be the Este Music Festival, taking place from July 20 to 28 at the Anfiteatro del Castello Carrarese, featuring an exceptional lineup that will bring artists like Mika, Anastacia, Antonello Venditti, Fabri Fibra, The Kolors, Coma_Cose, Goran Bregović, Pucci, and other stars of national and international music and entertainment to Este.
Literature will have a central role in the “Parole d’Autore” series, which will host authors, intellectuals, and artists in the Cloister of San Francesco for seven evenings of dialogue and in-depth exploration. Among the expected guests are: Mario Tozzi, Andrea De Carlo, Alan Friedman, Roby Facchinetti, Daria Colombo, Ascanio Celestini, and Laura Pigozzi.
Cinema will accompany the public throughout the summer, with outdoor screenings in the districts, auteur films in the historic center, and in September, the return of the Euganea Film Festival, one of the most appreciated independent cinema festivals in the area. In October, the ETNOFILMFEST will symbolically close the program, featuring documentaries and testimonies from around the world.
There will also be ample space for visual arts, with photographic and painting exhibitions at the city’s main exhibition venues, including the ex Fish Market Hall and the "Turi Fedele" Hall of the Chapel of the Annunciation. Among the most anticipated are Luciano Bertocco's photographic exhibition “Espressioni,” the SAI Project's “Guardami negli occhi,” solo exhibitions by Catherina Binato, Giulia Martello, Linda Winter, and Alberto Cristini, and the exhibition “Ci vuole un fiore” by Sergio Marchioro at the Gardens of the Castello Carrarese. A varied panorama that embraces photography, painting, and sculpture.
Great attention will also be given to theater, which will animate the center and the districts with touring performances, animated readings, children's performances, and events designed for the whole family, also thanks to Euganea Movie Movement and Teatro Veneto Città di Este. The show “Sotto le stelle di Giotto” by Teatro Ortaet, scheduled for August 2 in the Gardens of the Castle, is particularly awaited.
There will be no shortage of cultural deepening moments, guided tours, and extraordinary openings of the main historical sites in the city, such as the Church of Health, the Towers of the Castle, and the Cathedral of Santa Tecla.
In September, the VIII edition of the Sports Festival will be celebrated, also this year combined with the first aid day “Este nel Cuore,” featuring the city's sports associations. Also in September, the European Festival will take place, with the participation of sister cities in a spirit of sharing and international friendship.
Este d’Estate 2025 thus presents itself as a great cultural embrace, an open invitation to live the city together, to discover it in its many facets, through art, music, words, and beauty.
