A new temporary exhibition awaits you at the Villa Bassi Rathgeb Museum!
A journey through the history of Italian art of the last century, told by about fifty works including paintings, drawings and sculptures, all from private Collections.
The project focuses on the period from the late 1920s to the early 1960s: a historical phase of profound transformations for Italian society, which in less than forty years experienced Fascism, World War II, the Resistance, Reconstruction, and the economic boom.
On display there will be artworks by great artists such as Massimo Campigli, Pietro Marussing, Mario Mafai, Renato Guttuso, Giuseppe Santomaso, Renato Birolli, Afro Emilio Vedova, Pietro Dorazio, Tancredi, Parmeggiani and many others.
LA BELLEZZA DEL NOVECENTO is a project of CoopCulture and the Municipality of Abano Terme, curated by Alessia Castellani and Nicola Galvan, of which a catalog published by Galleria56 editions is an integral part, commenting on and delving as much into the content as the artists at the center of the exhibition.
